Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end design process utilizing Civil 3D for a variety of municipal and infrastructure planning projects
- Participate in full-service design of Civil/Municipal engineering projects
- Storm water management, site grading, sanitary sewer and water distribution system design
- Interpret topographic information required for design
- Complete the technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components
- Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Compile as-built records for design and record drawings
- Assist with contract documents for project tendering and execute project design drawings
- Prepare storm water management quantity and quality calculations
- Assist in coordination of design with consultant team including but not limited to electrical engineer, traffic consultant, environmental engineer and geotechnical engineer.
Skills & Qualifications
- Enrollment in Civil Engineering Degree program from an Accredited Institution
- Relevant internships or coop experience considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience, skillsets, and qualifications.
