With Aplos, nonprofit groups of every shape, size, and mission can seamlessly run their finances and operations, manage their business and bottom line, and proactively engage their communities and donors when it matters most. We’re a remote team, spread across North America (with peers all over the world).

We’re seeking new team members to join our ever growing team and play a key role in growing our product for Aplos, as well as our sister products, Raisely and Keela.

The Role:

We are seeking a Data Analyst to support our growing Data team. This person will work closely with our Data Architect and Analytics Engineer to support self-service analytics across our organization and partner with functional areas on improving our data. The analyst may be involved with any & all of the following areas within our data team:

  • Visualizing data and supporting reporting with our BI tool (Metabase)
  • Maintain data models in our data warehouses (Google BigQuery)
  • Conducting one-on-one or group training sessions on Metabase, our data, or analytics best-practices
  • Reviewing analytics-related Pull Requests
  • Managing analytics projects and issues in Linear
  • Tackling ad hoc requests across Go-to-Market, Finance & Enablement, Customer Experience, and Product

To be successful in this role, you should possess background experience working with data visualization, engineering, and/or analytics as well as a drive to learn-as-you-go. Overall, they support our organization in moving up the data maturity curve and adopting a modern data stack.

We recognize that each Analyst brings unique strengths, backgrounds, and existing skills. Thus, this role may develop into an Analytics Engineer, Sr. Data Analyst, or Data Scientist role based on the strengths, interests, and impact of the Analyst.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide clean, analysis-ready data sets for users across the organization
  • Maintain and develop documentation for our data infrastructure (from AWS to our data warehouse in Google BigQuery to our BI tool Metabase)
  • Train business users on how to use Metabase as well as the underlying data architecture
  • Work with our Data Architect/Engineer to model data and integrate less-structured data from Salesforce, HubSpot, Gainsight, etc. to develop a data lakehouse
  • Learn and apply version control, pull requests, testing and continuous integration to analytics code
  • Support commissions calculations and management processes with plan building in CaptivateIQ as well as ad hoc work
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as needed by the FP&A team
Requirements:

We believe that no one meets 100% of the listed qualifications. We are less concerned about whether you’ve done everything on a laundry list of specific things and more interested in cultivating a pool of candidates who want to join a connected, mission-driven, hard-working team of practitioners driven by creativity, curiosity, and a goal to change the world. If you feel like you meet most of the following, we encourage you to apply.

  • BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

  • 1 years of experience with SQL
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
  • Demonstrable experience learning new technologies, platforms, and languages
  • Ability to work independently & asynchronously and with little direction
