This internship provides a unique opportunity to see firsthand how a media team operates in a leading e-commerce company while developing technical skills and gaining real-world experience in a structured, professional setting.

This position is onsite daily- downtown OKC.

Hours Monday-Friday 8a-5p

The Multimedia Intern (Photo/Video) at APMEX will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced e-commerce creative team, working closely with the photo and video teams. This role provides insight into how digital content is produced, organized, and delivered for a multibillion-dollar online retailer. While the focus is on supporting media operations, the intern will have opportunities to observe professional workflows, contribute to real projects, and develop technical skills that are essential in the industry.

This internship is perfect for an organized, tech savvy individual eager to gain hands-on experience in production while learning the inner workings of a creative team.

The day in the life of a Multimedia Intern...

• Support content production for internal and external projects by assisting with footage collection, basic edits, and asset preparation.
• Perform video and photo editing tasks such as resizing, formatting, and file preparation.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the video library, ensuring b-roll and project files are properly labeled and stored for future use.
• Help manage and categorize media assets across Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, video servers, and local file storage to maintain accessibility and workflow efficiency.
• Support the team by maintaining studio spaces, setting up and breaking down equipment as needed.
• Attend team meetings to gain insight into project workflows and how content is developed for an e-commerce brand.
• Learn project management tools used in a professional creative environment, gaining exposure to how tasks are tracked and completed.

Qualifications

Education:

• Must be a junior, senior or recent college graduate
• Pursuing a degree in Media Production, Film, Photography, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to keep media assets structured and accessible.
• Interest in learning the behind-the-scenes operations of a professional creative team.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new software/tools.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects preferred) for basic edits.
• Comfortable working with file management systems, metadata tagging, and cloud/local storage solutions.
