Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Implement individualized care plans and monitor progress towards personal goals.
- Support clients in social and recreational activities to encourage community involvement.
- Lift and assist clients as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in behavior or health status.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members to provide comprehensive support.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Background in caregiving or assisted living environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift clients safely and provide physical assistance as required.
- Experience in meal preparation and understanding dietary needs is beneficial.
