JOB: CT TECH
START DATE 5/12
Local Candidate rule: *100-mile radius rule* Travelers perm address must be 101 Miles from facility to be considered.
Shift: Mostly 11:00 am 11:00 pm but could be 7:00 am 7:00 pm with small amounts of call 5p-7p or 5a-7a
Length of Assignment: 12/13 weeks depending on start date
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements: Professional license with state of practice is required and National CT certification - ARRT is required. Minimum 2 years experience required. Cardiac, Rapid Stroke and Terarecon experience required. Equipment used: Client and FUJI scanners used.

Radiology: CT
- General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.): BLS
- Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT- CT certified.
- How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 3 at each hospital- Candler- 2 hospital side/1 outpatient. Could float between two hospitals.
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Will cover inpatient/ ER
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Trauma, abd pelvis, PE protocol, CTA, stroke rapid, Head, CT chest, cspine. Can assist with drainages/ biopsies.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have worked in a larger facility. Terarecon, stroke- Rapid program. Multi task- handle a busy ER
- Average # of scans/studies per day: 20-32 Per shift
- What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use?: Nighthawk
- Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens): Client
- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech?: Yes 2
- Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: At times- Techs will have to transport at times.
- Radiologist in-house 24/7?: In house during the day- Use nighthawk at night
- Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department): No
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) *Would they ever be the only tech in-house within their department?*: 3-12 hour shifts. Try to do block schedule for night shift. They can try to accommodate schedule requests. (ex could do Thurs, Fri, Saturday)
- Weekend Requirements: Rotate with core staff.
- Holiday Requirements: Rotate with core staff
- Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: Yes 2 hours before 7 am and/or 2 hours before 7pm- in case of call ins.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: Navy or royal blue
- Department specific orientation: 3-4 days
- Additional Notes: 6 Miles between campuses
