Shift: Night Shift, 19:00 - 07:30

Pay Package: $25/hr on W2 $1152(Weekly non taxable stipend)

Weekly Gross: $2052

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a 13-week contract role in Mason City, IA. The RT will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients of all ages, including those with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures, including nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings based on patient response and physician orders.
• Provide emergency respiratory care, including airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Educate patients and their families on the proper use of respiratory equipment and techniques for managing respiratory conditions at home.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all respiratory care services provided.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Current and valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the state of Iowa.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a respiratory therapy role, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting respiratory therapy equipment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in critical care, including the management of ventilators and other advanced respiratory support systems.
• Pediatric and adult respiratory care experience.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  
  

Additional Information:

• This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30.
