Surgical Services/Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

RTO: MAX 7 days

CALL REQUIREMENTS: Yes - 7 -10 days a month including weekends

WEEKENDS: Every other weekend

SCRUBS: Provided

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit accepts first time travelers

PATIENT POPULATION: Pediatrics to Geriatrics - Surgical Tech - Ortho, Trauma, ENT, General, Robiotic, Neuro, Pediatric dental, Pain procedures, Thoracic, Vascular, & Organ harvest.

UNIT SYSTEMS: Davinci XI and SI

REQUIRED SKILLS: BLS, Case and crash cart, Scrub, Aseptic technique, abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, Lap/Robiotic gynecological procedures

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

New Year’s Eve and Day: Sunday, December 31 & Monday, January 1

Memorial Day: Monday, May 27

Independence Day: Thursday, July 4

Labor Day: Monday, September 2

Thanksgiving/Black Friday: Thursday, November 28 & Friday November 29

Christmas Eve and Day: Sunday, December 24 & Monday, December 25

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
