- Job Summary :
- We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting medical professionals in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinical environment, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming atmosphere for patients. This is a vital role that involves both clinical and administrative duties, and requires excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Clinical Support :
- Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers with patient exams and procedures.
- Take and record patient vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, weight).
- Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Collect laboratory specimens (blood, urine, swabs) and prepare them for lab testing.
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as wound care, EKGs, and injections.
- Sterilize and maintain medical equipment and instruments.
- Administrative Support :
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
- Process patient forms and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Manage patient records with confidentiality and accuracy.
- Answer patient inquiries via phone or in person and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Prepare patient charts and maintain organized records.

- Provide patients with educational materials and instructions for treatments or medications.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and address any concerns before, during, or after their visit.
