Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 37 Central Ave, Wellsboro, PA 16901
Shift: 40 Hours per Week, Days and Evenings (Primarily Days)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) for a 13-week contract position in Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity for an experienced LPN to work in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the LTAC unit, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being.
- Monitor patients’ health status and report any changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with patient assessments and documentation of care.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families to coordinate care.
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding healthcare management.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience in an LTAC or similar setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex patient care.
Travel Requirement:
- Must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered for the traveler position.
Qualifications:
- Current, active LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- CPR certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days and evenings.
