Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician (PET/NM Tech) to support the PET expansion in our Atlanta, GA facility. This is a 13-week contract position with a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The technician will work as part of a dynamic healthcare team providing nuclear medicine services, focusing on PET scans, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist in conducting PET and nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols.
- Support the expansion and growth of PET imaging within the facility.
- Provide clear and accurate images for diagnosis, collaborating with radiologists and other medical professionals.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
- Work efficiently and adhere to the departmental guidelines for operating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the Cerner system.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet patient needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technician, with specific experience in PET imaging.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification required.
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on patient care and safety.

- This is a 13-week contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and departmental needs.
