APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring multiple Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Float for our client in Muskegon, MI for a 13 week contract with a high possibility of extension.

Position Title: RN M/S
Pay Rate: UP TO $70/hr with stipend! ($50/hr for locals)
Work Location: Muskegon, MI
Shift:Nights
Hours/day: 12hrs
Contract Duration: up to 26 weeks with high extension possibilities!
License Requirement: Michigan RN
Certification Requirement: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during their hospital stay. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Duties

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform specimen collection processing and maintain accurate medical records.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Participate in critical care transport as needed, ensuring safe transfer of patients.
• Engage in behavioral health assessments for patients requiring mental health support.
• Deliver specialized care in areas such as memory care, urgent care, PICU, and medical-surgical settings.

Experience

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Previous experience in a medical-surgical unit or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with critical care transport procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of specimen collection processing and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience in infection control practices and patient care methodologies is highly valued.
• Ability to provide compassionate care in high-pressure situations, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
