Overview:
As the Director of Marketing at Apogee Behavioral Medicine, you will lead and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our behavioral health company’s mission and goals. This role involves overseeing the marketing budget, managing a team, and creating impactful materials across various platforms. This individual will analyze market trends, optimize campaigns, and guide clinic expansion strategies. They will collaborate with internal teams, manage vendor relationships, and represent the company at industry events. Additionally, the Director will ensure brand consistency, track campaign performance, and implement crisis communication plans. Strong leadership and industry knowledge are key to driving growth and patient engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing, branding and communication strategies that align with our company’s mission & vision, considering factors such as our target audience, the competitive landscape, and market trends. Perform analytics to determine the best new clinic expansion strategy for future growth.
- Budget Management: Oversee the annual marketing budget. Ensure all marketing initiatives are cost-effective and deliver a high return on investment.
- Content Creation: Lead the development of marketing materials across multiple platforms, including brochures, emails, social media content, website content, press releases, and other promotional materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency in messaging.
- Market Research: Monitor and analyze marketing trends within the healthcare industry, especially within behavioral health. Use this information to inform marketing strategies and stay ahead of competitors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including sales, public relations, and product development teams, to align strategies and ensure cohesive interdepartmental messaging and goals.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the work of the marketing team, including marketing managers, assistants, and coordinators. Oversee the work of the graphic designers and website development. Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, PPC, email, social media, print, TV, radio, outdoor, SEO, direct mail, PR, and tradeshows. This includes coordinating campaign logistics, creating timelines, and ensuring each campaign aligns with our brand’s image and message.
- Performance Tracking: Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Regularly report results to executive leadership, providing clear insight into the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with marketing vendors and service providers.
- Public & Community Relations: Represent the company at industry events, conferences and local community events. Foster relationships with key industry influencers and members of the press.
- Brand Management: Ensure that all marketing initiatives align with the company’s brand and mission. Regularly assess brand positioning and awareness, making strategic adjustments as necessary.
- SEO/SEM Strategies: Oversee the company’s online presence, including website content, SEO/SEM strategies, and social media accounts. Ensure these platforms effectively reach our target audience and communicate our brand message.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage the company’s reputation and mitigate potential damage during a crisis.
Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required.
· Master’s degree in a related field, such as an MBA with a concentration in marketing, is strongly preferred.
Experience:
· Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies. Previous experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in behavioral health, is strongly preferred.
Leadership:
· Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse team, with strong leadership and team-building skills. Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best work.
Industry Knowledge:
· Excellent understanding of market research methods, data analysis, SEO/SEM, and marketing best practices in the healthcare industry. Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web production, etc.
Communication Skills:
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate marketing plans to a diverse group of stakeholders, including executives, team members, and external partners.
Technical Proficiency:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with marketing software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, RankRanger, BrightLocal, Screaming Frog, Canva, WordPress, MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, Slack).
Social Media Advertising:
· Proven experience in creating, managing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Understanding of social media KPIs and ability to interpret campaign data to improve results and achieve marketing objectives.
Analytical Skills:
· Strong ability to analyze market data and translate it into actionable marketing strategies. Experience with data analysis tools and performance metrics.
Project Management:
· Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Creativity:
· Innovative and creative thinker, with an ability to translate strategic thinking into compelling marketing programs.
