Overview
Apogee is seeking a Technical Controller to support the 95th Wing. In this role, you will provide Qualification and Continuation Training Development support services as a flying crew member/instructor assimilating numerous modifications into long-term qualification and continuation training programs. This position will assist the Government to refine, enhance and improve the continuation training process when required.
This is a full-time position located on-site at Offutt, Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for training active-duty personnel for qualification/certification as a Technical Controller 1 in accordance with Air Force Manual 11-2E-4B, Volumes 1-3; 95th Wing Instructions & standard operating procedures, and other governing documents involving the following tasks:
- Setting, up, operating, and/or troubleshooting the following E-4B aircraft systems
- Air cooling systems, Liquid cooling systems (LCS), AC & DC power system panels, Alarm central panels, Equipment rack cooling panels, Smoke detection panel, Uninterruptable power supply panel, Internal communication system
- Setting, up, operating, and/or troubleshooting the following E-4B aircraft systems
- Continuously monitoring systems to detect and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions.
- Performing routine maintenance and checks, troubleshooting, and applying corrective actions on equipment ensuring operational readiness.
- Executing airborne missions by providing reliable communication support to military and civilian leadership during all phases of nuclear and non-nuclear conflict or natural disasters.
- Requirements support: Work closely with existing Government workforce to provide expertise to assist in identifying system shortfalls, and aid in requirements definition, organization and prioritization for funding analysis, decision, and development of a fielding strategy for potential solutions.
- Assist the Government in refining, enhancing and improving the process in system modernization, along with the performance of routine data analysis functions involving gathering, preparing, modeling, interpreting, and presenting data when required.
- Acquisition support: assist the Government to refine, enhance, and improve the process in system modernization and support information requirements for the E-4C Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) program from external mission partners when required.
- Test & Evaluation Planning and Execution Support: provide support for developmental and operational test planning and execution, test training development and implementation, event scheduling and tracking. Assist the Government to refine, enhance and improve the process in system modernization when required.
- Technical Order Development & Production Support: Conduct and aid in the analysis of system designs and coordinate end-user inputs into the technical order authoring process. Assist the Government to refine, enhance and improve the process in technical order development when required.
- Modification Training Development and Execution Support: Identify and develop training strategies for each new system modification. Provide professional services to conduct analysis of various modification design documentation, identify changes in operational techniques and procedures, and subsequently develop training concepts and strategies related to modifications for eventual assimilation into long-term weapon system training curricula.
- Qualification and Continuation Training Development: Provide support services for assimilating numerous modifications into long-term qualification and continuation training programs.
- Provide services to aid in the development and management of long-term training framework strategies altered by system modifications.
- Assist the Government to refine, enhance and improve the process in continuation training.
- Lead qualification and continuation training development tasks in the Formal Training Flight
- Mission Assurance: Provide support in the planning and execution of overseas aircraft operations and tasks, to include airfield analysis, coordination with numerous high-level Federal Government offices, flight planning, air refueling planning, airspace coordination/scheduling, aircraft performance planning, satellite communications planning, and coordinating diplomatic clearances.
- Support the client’s primary mission by conducting planning of and executing site surveys around the world, preparing locations to provide full mission support to deployed aircraft, including lodging, transportation, communications, security, administration, medical care, finance, airfield management, and transportation/setup of flightline ground support equipment.
- Occasional flexible work schedules are required to provide support across several projects or tasks beyond a normal work week/day. Travel to various locations to support these tasks when directed.
- Complete a formal Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI) course within six months after the start of training as an instructor. Completion of the Air Combat Command Classroom Instructor Course or MAJCOM equivalent satisfies the CRI requirement.
