Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Task Manager with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in EMI/RADHAZ testing and analysis and experienced in developing and managing technical documentation in support of communications systems.
This is a full-time position with telework capabilities approx. 90%, with 10% CONUS and OCONUS travel supporting US Coast Guard, Portsmouth, Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Support the PM in managing, administering, and leading the EMI-RADHAZ and MEPE teams through task order execution
- Provide direct supervision, leadership, and guidance for contractor personnel, including supervising ongoing technical efforts, and managing task order performance
- Coordinate and facilitate team inputs for Monthly Status Reports, Technical Status Reviews as required
- Support the PM in hiring, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, retention, and forecasting/reporting initiatives
- Coordinate contractor travel and other direct costs with the Government
- Supervise up to 8 Apogee employees in geographically separate locations, including timesheet approval and oversight of work completed
- Analyze test data and develop solution(s) for proper Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) aboard designated cutters and facilities, perform additional tests/measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed solutions
- Prepare an EMI/RADHAZ Engineering Report including preliminary observations, data from initial tests, data analysis including any applicable screenshots or data output from test equipment, discussions of proposed solutions, test results of abatement efforts, comparisons of the baseline data with post abatement data, and additional recommendations.
- Develop Hazard of Electromagnetic Radiation to Personnel (HERP) / Hazard of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) / Hazard of Electromagnetic Radiation to Fuel (HERF) Tables based upon surveys and update drawings as appropriate to reflect any noted changes. Contractor shall not radiate outside of authorized Coast Guard Frequencies without prior approval from C5ISC-ESD-ASB-SM.
- Develop and provide to the government a 5-year EMI/RADHAZ Certification Schedule
- Provide an EMI/RADHAZ Initial Findings Report based on reported problems by USCG surface or shore units.
- Provide an EMC Recommendation Memo based on requested review of EC-TCTO documents
- Ability to travel and work independently.
