Working in partnership with state-of-the art semiconductor foundries, Apogee Semiconductor develops radiation hardened processes and components that serve as the foundation for our cutting-edge integrated circuits and IP blocks.

As Program Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary electrical engineering teams through the New Product Development (NPD) process, driving the development of radiation-hardened semiconductor solutions for Space applications. You will collaborate closely with Design, Product, Test, and Operations teams to ensure on-time delivery, maintaining world-class quality and driving key metrics such as CPI and SPI. You will be in charge of developing new products from the concept phase to validation and then production release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives related to customer schedules, project cost, product margin, and quality.
  • Work closely with Business Managers, Product Engineers, and R&D leaders to define project requirements and execution strategies.
  • Drive new product development of radiation-hardened analog and mixed-signal ICs, ensuring compliance with military, aerospace, and industrial standards.
  • Establish and finalize project charters, aligning with customer expectations and internal technical capabilities before execution.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) covering :
  • System architecture and design
  • Electrical characterization and validation
  • Test strategy development
  • Manufacturing and qualification processes
  • Customer engagement and product support
  • Resource planning : Work across teams to ensure proper staffing and technical expertise at every phase of development.
  • Risk management and communication : Identify potential risks early, develop mitigation plans, and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders.
  • Critical path monitoring : Continuously assess development timelines, identify bottlenecks, and drive issue resolution.
  • Budget oversight : Ensure program costs align with financial objectives.
  • Predictive program steering : Anticipate problems before they arise, proactively addressing challenges to keep projects on track.
  • Gatekeeping : Ensure all program milestones are met with clear, high-quality deliverables.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Program / Project Management within the semiconductor industry, specifically in New Product Development (NPD) / New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Strong technical understanding of radiation-hardened IC design, validation, and test methodologies.
  • Project management expertise – PMI / PMP certification is a plus but not required.
  • Critical thinking skills with a structured approach to risk management and problem-solving.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills within a matrix organization.
  • Ability to influence across all levels of the organization and align cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills, able to present technical and business updates concisely.
  • Bonus Qualifications :

  • Experience with  automotive, aerospace, or defense industry standards .
  • Familiarity with  radiation effects on semiconductor devices .

    Apogee Semiconductor pay ranges are informed and defined through a professional compensation data source. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
