Role Summary
The Apogee Research and Translational Medicine team is seeking an Associate Director, I&I Biology. Reporting to the Executive Director of Non-Clinical Pharmacology this candidate will lead and mentor a team of scientists in the Non-Clinical Pharmacology group. This role will provide scientific leadership for studies defining antibody mechanisms of action (MOA), including new target evaluation and antibody discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage a strong background in biology / pharmacology to provide strategic vision and guide therapeutic antibody research in the context of atopic dermatitis, asthma, COPD, and other potential therapeutic opportunities.
- Oversee the implementation of epithelial cell culture techniques, cellular assays, and in vitro models to evaluate the activity of therapeutic antibody candidates.
- Support the authorship and review of documents supporting regulatory submissions, IP, and scientific publications.
- Manage and coordinate projects (in-house & CRO) to ensure adherence to timelines and goals.
- Aid in the development of lab best practice (operations, SOP generation, & documentation).
- Provide leadership in a managerial role, guiding and mentoring a team of scientists.
- Apply strong analytical skills to plan, execute, analyze and interpret data from experiments and studies related to antibody development.
- Collaborate with scientists across different groups and functional areas to generate high quality data to support programs in discovery through development
Ideal Candidate
The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $175,000-$200,000 year. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
