Pay rate : $31 per hour on w2 basis

Must-Haves for this role :
Financial Analysis : Proven experience in financial analysis and budgets analysis.
Excel Proficiency : Strong analytical skills in Excel with the ability to quickly identify trends and issues.
Critical Thinking : Exceptional critical thinking skills are essential.
Experience : 2-3 years in an Analyst position.
Education : Bachelor's degree (required), preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Academic Environment : Prior experience in an academic setting is a must.
Job Description :
Collaborate with the principal investigator to prepare the administrative components of proposals in compliance with sponsored and non-sponsored research guidelines. Manage and communicate the submission process for both paper and electronic formats, ensuring all documents are complete and compliant.
Develop, prepare, and finalize project budgets, including providing detailed budget justifications.
Act as the primary liaison and active partner between principal investigators, the Office of Sponsored Research, research teams, and other departments. Address sponsor inquiries promptly and professionally.
Work closely with the Office of Sponsored Research to ensure proper award setup and fulfillment of cost-sharing requirements. Initiate and manage cost transfers as needed.
Review and approve expenditures while advising on post-award spending and commitment activities. Ensure compliance with funding and revenue policies.
Prepare and deliver reports detailing project status, offering effective forecasting tools and decision-making support.
Manage the contract closeout process, including submitting final reports and certifications. Compile necessary information and documentation for audit inquiries.
Interpret, apply, and provide guidance on university and government policies related to research projects.
Serve as a subject matter expert and technical resource for principal investigators and university staff.
Contribute to and lead process improvement initiatives. Provide leadership and guidance to staff in collaborative group projects.
