Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data models within the EPIC environment to support clinical, operational, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including data analysts, clinical staff, and IT teams, to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Utilize EPIC's data architecture tools to design and implement solutions for data extraction and reporting.
- Optimize existing data models for performance and scalability.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify trends and improve data quality.
- Document data models and maintain metadata repositories for reference and training purposes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data modeling and healthcare informatics.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in data modeling, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in EPIC systems, specifically in data extraction and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with data governance and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- EPIC certification (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle) is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
