MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN NEEDED
FULL TIME 2P - 10
Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, newly constructed in 2018 - state of the art Inpatient facility conveniently located at 9938 Airline Highway and our new Outpatient facility located at 615 Chevelle Ct.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine and assigned task with the outpatient programs
- Documents patient's observed behavior, vital signs, significant occurrences, departure from hospital, and observation findings of patients as requested by nurse
- Assist nurse with patient care tasks and the nurse or activity director with therapeutic interventions
- Flexible with work schedule when necessary to provide coverage
- Assists with coordination of distributing lunches, cleaning the kitchen after lunch and attending to the patients' needs during lunch
- Provide care and assist patients in daily living activities including but not limited to diaper change, cleaning, bathing and feeding
- Oversees the cleanliness of the facility
Skills Needed:
- Ability to work under close supervision with distractions/demanding patients and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good physical and mental health as evidenced by warm empathic attitude
- Respect for the dignity, worth, and potentiality of each person and a high sense of personal integrity
- Must be able to stand on feet for long intervals and ability to life a patient in order to provide care according to the essential job function
Education/Experience/License required:
- At least One year mental health experience preferred but not required
- Must have CPR certification
- Maintain CPI certification
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
