FULL TIME DAY NURSE NEEDED FOR 7A-7P S/M/T AND M/T/W ROTATION
Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, newly constructed in 2018 - state of the art facility conveniently located at 9938 airline highway in the heart of the city at the intersection of I-12 and Airline Hwy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assesses new patients within 8 hours of admission
- Provides individual nursing care as ordered by the physician
- Manages medication administration including monitoring and storage daily
- Participates in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans
- Dictates and writes progress notes for one to one & group sessions in accordance with policies and procedures
- Assists in coordinating risk management activities to reduce or eliminate patient/staff/visitor injuries, illnesses, death, and/or financial loss
- Completes and signs necessary admission paperwork and other required documentation with guidelines mandated by law and applicable hospital policies and procedures
Skills Needed:
- Organizes and prioritizes work while being cost-effective and conserving resources
- Able to work with multi-disciplinary team
- Organized and self-disciplined
- Thorough documentation
- Utilizes listening skills that indicate understanding and promotes accurate interpretation of other's concerns, motivations, and feelings
- Works toward resolution of interpersonal conflicts as they arise
Education/Experience/License required:
- Registered Nurse. Psychiatric experience preferred but not required
- CPR and CPI must be maintained
