Apollo Career Center is accepting applications for the position of:
ADULT EDUCATION FULL-TIME LPN INSTRUCTOR
STARTING DATE: July 1, 2025
REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education
SALARY RANGE: • based on appropriate salary schedule, commensurate with education and
experience
BENEFITS: • medical/dental/life Insurance
- sick/personal leave
WORK WEEK/YEAR: 183-day school year calendar
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
• current and active Ohio Board of Nursing Registered Nurse license with no
restrictions or board actions and meets Ohio Board of Nursing requirements
appropriate for the position per OAC 4723-5-11
• minimum of 2 years of full-time RN experience in an acute care setting
• ability to obtain an adult education permit in Health Occupations (070000)
and Office Operations (140000)
• ability to pass BCI and FBI background checks
• meets all mandated health requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • recent teaching experience in a nursing program
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
RESPONSIBILITIES: • assist program manager in development and implementation of course of
study (syllabus must follow Ohio Board of Nursing requirements)
- ability to articulate clear learning goals/objectives appropriate for students
- use course of study to develop and deliver sequenced lessons plans that are
submitted upon request
- assist program manager with business relationships specific to clinical and/or
precepting objectives
- monitor student progress effectively by selecting appropriate evaluation
strategies
- exhibit enthusiasm and a positive attitude in the teaching/learning process
