REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal
SALARY RANGE:
- $40,600 – $60,100, based on appropriate salary schedule, commensurate with education and experience

WORK WEEK/YEAR: 183-day school year calendar
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess, or ability to obtain, valid Ohio certification/licensure in English/Language Arts (7-12)
- Positive role model for youth
- Dedicated to helping students develop high levels of academic competency
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, success and independence
- Skilled at bridging differences and fostering mutual respect to create a cohesive, effective learning environment
- Ability to pass BCI and FBI background checks
- Ability to work as a school improvement team member
- Possess High School Diploma/GED
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent organizational and human relation skills
- Ability to plan and develop an instructional program in English/Language Arts
- Ability to collaborate with English/Language Arts department staff
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop an English/Language Arts curriculum and teach high school youth
