REPORTS TO: Special Education Director
SALARY RANGE:
- $40,600 – $60,100, based on appropriate salary schedule, commensurate with education and experience

WORK WEEK/YEAR: 183-day school year calendar; Full-time, M – F.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Ohio certification/licensure in Intervention Specialist K-12 or Education of the Handicapped (K-12) (5-year license preferred)
- Positive role model for youth
- Demonstrated ability to plan for and teach students with varying cognitive and physical abilities
- Extensive knowledge of the IEP process
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule in multiple settings
- Ability to create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, success and independence
- Ability to build flexible and effective co-teaching partnership with general education teachers
- Skilled at bridging differences and fostering mutual respect to create a cohesive, effective learning environment
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to be involved in the school improvement process
- Required to complete an FBI & BCI background check
- Possess High School Diploma/GED
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in co-teaching classroom environments
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with general education teacher(s) to co-plan, co-deliver and differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Collaborate with the general education teacher(s) to modify lessons, materials and assessments to ensure equitable access to the curriculum for all students
- Progress monitor students’ goals
