Senior Fund Accountant, Flagship Direct Lending Funds

The successful candidate will join a team of professionals supporting a growing platform, which spans across Apollo’s direct origination strategies. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on multiple flagship funds as well as important strategic relationships at Apollo. The role will include high levels of interaction with investors, internal investment professionals, and senior leaders. This individual will be tasked with the quality execution of the day-to-day core accounting responsibilities, driving improvements in processes and reporting, and engaging in problem-solving. We are seeking a talented and dedicated professional with the ability to be part of a versatile team and a strong desire to learn and develop in their career.

Primary Responsibilities

Month-end and quarter-end close process, including completing a NAV package with all the relevant supporting documentation, maintaining the fund-level waterfall, calculating performance figures, coordinating investor reporting to limited partners, and assisting with corporate and regulatory reporting requirements.

Maintain the fund books-and-records and partner allocations

Calculation of management fees & other fees on closed ended fund structures.

Coordinate capital call and distribution notices with the Investor Services team or the third party administrator

Daily review of trade and cash reconciliations reports received from the Operations teams and assisting in investigating cash and positions breaks between Funds books and various custody platforms.

Prepare / review financial statements, facilitate the audit and provide information for tax preparation annually

Analyze and prepare expense allocations and budgets between multiple fund entities

Verify portfolio pricing to internal model and third-party sources

Complete / Review internal fund reporting including liquidity and investment metrics, investment / fund performance reporting and corporate reporting metrics.

Manage a high volume of investor inquiries, reporting, and ad-hoc requests

Special Projects : Execute on ad-hoc requests from senior leaders

Qualifications & Experience

CPA preferred

3-5 years of Public / Private accounting experience preferred, and Big 4 candidate with high performance rating will be considered

Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise

A critical thinker with strong quantitative and analytical skills who expresses their thoughts and ideas clearly both in oral and written communications.

A collaborative thinker who can also work independently, multitask, and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

A proactive and organized self-starter with a positive attitude, powerful work ethic, strong attention to detail and advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

A change cultivator, with a strong technology background and a focus on automation

Proficient in Microsoft Excel required, experience with Investran, Altyrex, Anaplan or Power BI a plus

Pay Range

110,000 – $130,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
