We are looking for someone to become a part of our facility's compassionate care-giving team as a 12 passenger bus Transport Driver. The Transport Driver will interact directly with patients during their rides by providing comfort, monitoring their condition, and assisting them on/off the van for appointments. We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate, and energetic individual to be a vital link between our patients and the nurses and other team members. When not conducting transportation, you will be responsible for managing and ordering the facilities supplies for the nursing department.
Transport Driver Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant training course
- Good driving record
- Experience driving large passenger vehicles
- Basic cell phone/computer skills
- Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
- Transport and pick up residents from scheduled appointments
- Act as escort for some residents
- Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
