Delivery Driver / Expeditor
- Duties / ResponsibilitiesDriving, loading, and unloading trailersDriving fabricated material and tools between jobsitesBasic vehicle maintenanceGeneral shop clean up and organizationPlans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the dayLoads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for deliveryPicks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requestedEnsures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisorAssists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completedPerforms other related duties as assignedReports major shipping problems to purchasing agentInspects shipments to confirm that products received meet specificationsMaintains business relationships with suppliers to ensure their assistance if an unexpected event requires expedited shipping of an orderPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills / AbilitiesAbility to drive large trucksAbility to pull 20' flatbed trailersAbility to move materials weighing up to 35 lbs. with or without accommodationResponsibleWilling to learnAbility to drive safelyAbility to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and / or web-based or physical mapsAbility to maintain basic logs and recordsAbility to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervisionAbility to remain professional and courteous at all timesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailPage 1 of 2Education and ExperienceValid drivers license and clean driving recordForklift experience preferredPayStart at $18-$20 per hour, overtime available
