Job Details Job Summary:

The Chief of staff will report directly to our CEO John Watters and will play a critical role in driving the success and efficiency of our organization as we scale our business. As the right hand to the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief of Staff will be responsible for managing/leading a wide range of strategic initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensure seamless communication within the company. The Chief of Staff will be a key strategic partner in driving efficiency and performance across professional services, sales, finance, and security operations (SOC). Responsibilities/Tasks:

Data Analysis & Reporting

·        In partnership with the business, develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, effectiveness, and overall business performance.

·        Build dashboards and reports to offer real-time insights into sales, finance, and service delivery performance.

·        Present actionable recommendations to leadership based on data-driven insights.

Strategic Planning 

·        Collaborate with executive leadership to develop, communicate, execute, and sustain corporate strategic initiatives.

·        Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making processes.

Operational Efficiency 

·        Partnering with Business Units and Human Resources to review, design and execute improvements to organizational structure; find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them.  

·        Assess and improve business processes across professional services, sales, finance, and security operations.

·        Develop and implement best-in-class operational frameworks to drive efficiency and scalability.

·         Identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and support process automation initiatives.

Technology & Automation

·        Identify and implement tools to enhance reporting, forecasting, and data analysis.

·        Leverage automation to streamline manual processes and improve data accuracy.

·        Ensure technology solutions support business needs and scalability.

Utilization & Capacity Management

·        Analyze team utilization rates across professional services and SOC to ensure optimal resource allocation.

·        Develop capacity planning models to forecast resource needs and improve operational efficiency.

·        Work with department leads to optimize workload distribution and productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·        Work closely with SOC, finance, sales, and professional services teams to understand challenges and implement improvements.

·        Serve as a liaison between operations and leadership, ensuring alignment on strategic initiatives.

·        Collaborate with IT and automation teams to drive system enhancements that improve reporting and analytics capabilities.

 

Required Skills:

·        10 years of experience in business operations, process improvement, or analytics, preferable within a cybersecurity services company.

·        Expertise in utilization analysis, capacity planning, and operational efficiency.

·        Experience with SOC analysis (e.g., incident triage times, ticket severity analysis) is a plus.

·        Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).

·        Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and financial systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Cloud Coach or similar platforms.

·        Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive improvements across multiple departments.

·        Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.5-7 years of experience in sales operations, financial analysis, or related roles

·        Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

 

Preferred Skills:

·        Experience working in professional services, consulting, or security operations environments.

·        Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies.

·        Background in sales operations, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or service delivery optimization.

Education/Certifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferably a master’s degree in business, financial analysis
