Job Summary:

We are looking for a 15 hour per week Computer programmer and automation specialist Intern for our Threat Intelligence Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the business of Threat Intelligence and work with some of the brightest minds in the field. We are looking for someone with great programming skills, a passion for learning and helping our customers. You must have demonstrated an interest in the Threat Intelligence field and an be an active student.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Design, create, and maintain multiple, disparate automated collection and filtering processes.
• Transform, refactor and enhance existing and manual processes into microprocesses to support automated collection and raw data cleaning.
• Learn how to make connections between threat actors’ personas, the services they sell, tradecraft they employ, or outline patterns of behavior.
• Become familiar with various methodologies, specific terminology, basic and pivot analysis, critical thinking and more.
• Learn to use and apply standard logic, outside the box thinking, and intelligence logical processes.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong coding skills especially Python, Ruby or Go.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, data storage mediums (databases, JSON, STIX2.1), and web
  scraping a major plus
• Familiarity, or willingness to learn, leveraging host coding platforms/solutions, such as
  GitHub/Lab, AWS, Azure, or GC.
• Awareness of secure coding practices/standards (Security first over function)
  

Education/Certifications:

• A current student, preferrable in a Master’s program, but a core component of your education must be programming.

Other:

• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Must currently live in the US and be legally entitled to work here – no sponsorship available.
• If you are multilingual, please state the languages you speak and your competency level.
