The Role
Apollo is seeking a Content Writer to sit within and support the Asset-Backed Finance (“ABF”) platform. In this role, you will partner closely with the Content Marketing and Client and Product Solutions teams and leverage your deep knowledge of the financial services industry and the ABF landscape to produce original, engaging content that distills key themes and trends for Apollo’s global investor base.
The successful candidate will have experience translating complex ABF-related topics into clear and compelling content while adapting their writing style for different audiences. In addition, this position requires a keen eye for detail as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure deadlines are met, feedback is obtained from thought leaders and stakeholders, and high-quality content is delivered in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write and develop insightful, engaging, and audience-driven content including market commentary, charts, graphs, investor newsletters and other similar related content
- Partner closely with the investment and product teams, as well as marketing and branding teams
- Partner with Apollo’s Head of Investment Strategy to distill key areas of focus for Apollo’s ABF platform and articulate the various ways investors can access opportunities at the firm
- Work with Apollo’s Client and Product Solutions team to develop strategy around investor communications and deliver core thematic content on an ongoing basis
- Develop annual investor meeting materials to ensure timely and thoughtful messaging that aligns with business goals and target audiences
- Conduct research on industry-related topics and engage in the research and underwriting processes and engage in discussions related to Apollo-specific recommendations and views
- In partnership with Apollo’s Chief Economist, identify key macro trends and coalesce those ideas with micro themes and opportunities in which Apollo’s ABF team is focused
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required with journalism and/or business degree
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, decipher, and explain complex Credit topics and producing compelling written content for various audiences
- Proven experience as a Financial News Writer or similar function
- Note: Samples of previous work is required with submissions.
- Deep understanding and experience across broader financial services, specifically Credit, topics; understanding and knowledge of the ABF landscape strongly preferred
- Extremely articulate and creative thinker with the ability to translate complicated topics into clear and compelling content for various platforms and audiences
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple teams in a complex, fast-paced environment as well as thrive independently
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with an innate attention to detail
- The innate ability to see the bigger picture and engage with ABF industry experts

Pay Range

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
