Associate Medical Editor
We are hiring an Associate Medical Editor for our growing medical communications agency!

The Role
As an Associate Medical Editor, you’ll be using your grammar and language skills to copy edit and proofread medical publications and a diverse range of scientific communications for healthcare professionals. In this early career role, you will work closely with our stellar team of medical writers and editors, graphic designers, and account leads as you grow in your knowledge of industry-specific style and best practices and the latest treatments that will better the lives of patients living with chronic diseases.
More specifically, you will:
- Copy edit and provide basic formatting support for abstracts, posters, manuscripts, slide decks, and other scientific communications and project pieces
- Proofread layouts and journal proofs, comparing against source content to ensure fidelity to original
- Apply AMA, house, client, and/or journal or congress style to copy, references, figures, tables, and other elements within project pieces
- Gather author instructions and perform test submissions for abstract and journal submissions
- Help maintain and create style guides for existing and future accounts
Who You Are
You should have a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a biomedical discipline and a demonstrated acumen for grammar, punctuation, syntax, and consistency. You are ready to join a fast-paced and growing agency where you will contribute to high-quality content and build strong relationships with your team. This position is based in our Guilford, Connecticut office.
Additionally, you bring:
- Excellent English language and grammatical skills
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Word and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- The ability to manage time effectively and organize personal workflows
- A team-oriented attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
