Material Planner II

Contract
Pay Rate : $40.50 / Hr.

REQUIREMENTS : Material Planner II
- US Citizenship
- High school or above with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- The knowledge and ability to interpret drawings, technical manuals, and work specifications to develop material estimates for repairs on US Navy and Commercial ships
- Develop material estimates for new / growth work resulting from inspection reports, deficiency reports, and contract changes.
- The ability to deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet production requirements.
- Identify and select vendors to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery dates.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time
- Develop and implement processes and work with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives
- Support assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction with members of the purchasing team
- Support supplier meetings and negotiations to ensure demand for materials is met
- Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with members of the purchasing team
