What are the responsibilities and job description for the OSP designer / drafter position at Apollo Technical LLC?
Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a OSP Designer in the Spartanburg, SC area.
Duties:
- Design of buried, underground and aerial copper and fiber cable systems and associated plant
- Must be familiar with OSP Engineering standards, practices, and construction methods.
- Previous experience with AT&T Systems
- Must be able to read and understand DOT road plans, cross sections and drainage profiles (includes correctly identifying conflicts that will have an impact on design).
Responsibilities:
- Must have knowledge of utility relocations pertaining to road projects for State, County and City projects.
- Must be proficient with a CAD application such as AutoCAD, MicroStation. Also, must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Be able to design facilities for both copper and fiber plant utilizing current technology and systems.
- Be able to access and interact with information systems specific to supporting AT&T in the Southeast, such as ARAMIS, OSPCM, Imagine, etc.
