The Equipment Quoting Specialist will take an active approach in learning about Apex's equipment offerings. The individual in this position will manage multiple quote requests per day and deliver timely responses. This position primarily focuses on quote development, vendor communication, component installation and troubleshooting support, BOM or part number updating and to a lesser degree, scheduling support and QC reporting.

Job Summary
The Equipment Quoting Specialist will take an active approach in learning about Apex's equipment offerings. The individual in this position will manage multiple quote requests per day and deliver timely responses. This position primarily focuses on quote development, vendor communication, component installation and troubleshooting support, BOM or part number updating and to a lesser degree, scheduling support and QC reporting.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Gain intimate knowledge of industrial water components typical to equipment operation: pumps, valves, instrumentation, tubing, controllers
- Support equipment sales process through quotes and system proposal design including process and commercial aspects
- Maintain Company margin goals when preparing proposals and quotes
- Be the point of contact for internal teams to support questions related to quote specifics
- Handle vendor communication related to specifications, pricing and support. Identify and source vendors who offer replacement components.
- Provide troubleshooting support for Apex equipment offerings, typical to component installation and operation requirements
- Be the technical lead for controller evaluations and repair
- Support scheduling activities for field technicians
- Maintain active quote log, including communication to leadership, and follow up with sales personnel.
- Support inventory and quality control reporting functions
- Handle new product entry and BOM creation and entry into ERP system
- Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/GED
- 4 years of experience in the industrial water treatment industry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to understand component part numbers
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible
- Ability to prioritize, organize and plan
- Desire for continuous learning
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments to drive project completion and a willingness to raise task tension to meet project milestones
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
- 5 years of experience in the industrial water treatment industry
- Previous work experience in equipment quoting and sales
