The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production team to ensure efficient and effective processes. This role involves coordinating production schedules, managing staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The Production Supervisor will monitor workflow, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Additionally, this position requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with cross-functional teams to align production goals with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of production methodologies and workflows, and the ability to motivate and develop team members.

This role involves coordinating production schedules, managing staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The Production Supervisor will monitor workflow, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Essential Job Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, and mentor a team of production workers in day-to-day operations.
- Plan, organize, and assign tasks based on production schedules, work orders, and priority needs, utilizing Monday.com.
- Serve as second-in-command to the Production Manager, stepping in to oversee production in the Production Manager's absence.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, industry regulations and quality control standards.
- Monitor the performance of equipment and ensure proper maintenance and operation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve any technical challenges that arise on the production floor.
- Work with the Production Manager and Production Coordinator to ensure that production targets and timelines are met consistently.
- Maintain detailed records of production output, employee performance, and equipment maintenance.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of new and existing team members.
- Collaborate with management to optimize workflows, reduce downtime, and improve productivity.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety in all aspects of production.
- Work closely with other departments, such as quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Support all safety policies and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience in a production environment
- Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and plan
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to solve problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments to drive project completion and a willingness to raise task tension to meet project milestones
- Proficiency in utilizing computer software for production scheduling and reporting, specifically Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to lift/carry 50 of lbs. and work in varying conditions in a production environment, some of which can be physically demanding
- Six (6) years of experience in a production environment
- Three (3) years of experience supervising and leading a team
- Past work experience in industrial water treatment or other technical industries
