Job Description: Works collaboratively with providers, hospital administration and operations team to ensure adequate documentation is obtained from the hospital electronic medical into our third-party system for billing and coding. Responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations, daily chart flow, managing billing concerns and reviewing all charts for completion. Serves as the liaison between facility, providers and corporate office, ensuring proper communication between all necessary parties.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate or Equivalent to High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s in Business Administration preferred.
Experience: Minimum one-year in medical office, physician practice or hospital setting is required. Medical terminology required. Medical billing and/or medical office policies and procedures experience preferred. Minimum one-year experience with electronic health records is preferred. Experience with Ingenious Med and physician scheduling a plus.
Skills: Proven interpersonal and effective communication skills. High emotional intelligence. Strong organizational, multi-tasking and decision- making skills required. Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft, Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). Must be dependable and demonstrate high level of professionalism. Must possess ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information.
Travel: Must be willing to travel 5-10% of time. (Where applicable)
Remote: Hybrid model (50% onsite/ 50% work from home) contingent upon employee performance.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Reconcile daily census.
- Collaboratively communicate with providers regarding documentation needs.
- Ensure provider education of chart flow and billing process.
- Assist with provider orientation.
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports that are required by facility and/or operations team.
- Assist medical director and operations team with administration of staffing and scheduling.
- Provide administrative support to the providers, medical director, operations team, credentialing and recruiter as needed.
- Collaborate with hospital administration to assist with provider queries in relation to facility coding and billing.
- Handle daily administrative office task including but not limited to: incoming calls, mail and faxes, pharmacy calls and ordering and maintain office supplies
- Maintain strictest confidentially adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
