Apostolic Christian Restmor Job Summary
We are seeking a PRN (on-call) Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join us at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing measures and develop care plans tailored to meet the total needs of residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assist in resident assessments and implement interventions as needed.
- Distribute medications accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to enhance overall patient care.
- Maintain open communication with residents and their families.
- Orient new staff members to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Record progress notes regularly to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide education to residents and their families to promote cooperation and successful care implementation.
- Pursue continuing education opportunities to improve nursing skills and stay updated on industry developments.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Hold an active Illinois Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Agree to work a minimum of two, 8-hour shifts per month, with at least one shift being a weekend (subject to availability).
- Be assigned to work one summer and one winter holiday each year.
Physical Demands:
- Walking and standing for extended periods is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, reaching.
- Occasional sitting, use of hands/fingers.
- Routinely pushing/pulling/lifting up to 75lbs.
- Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals, and infectious waste.
