Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a full-time 2nd shift nurse!
This is one of many full-time positions at our facility that qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program!
Summary:
Responsibility for the administration of nursing measures, the supervision, evaluation and planning of care, and communication with residents, family, and other members of the health care team to meet the total needs of the residents.
Please note, the listed pay band includes the LPN pay range of $30-$35/hour and the RN pay range of $35-$42/hour. In addition to the pay listed, nurses working 2nd or 3rd shifts are eligible for a $3/hour differential. Nurses working weekends are eligible for an additional $2/hour differential.
Essential Duties:
- Assists in resident assessment and implementation of appropriate interventions
- Assists in planning of care to attain and/or maintain the highest possible level of health, independence, and mobility of the resident
- Delivers resident medications timely and accurately
- Communicates with physician and other health care providers to facilitate the overall health care of the resident
- Encourages and maintains an open communication with resident and families
- Assists with orientation of new personnel
- Records progress notes regularly to assure continuity of care and provide up-to-date information for physicians, consultants, nursing staff, and other health care providers
- Provides resident and family education where needed to enhance cooperation and undertaking of the care plan
- Participates in continuing education within and outside the facility to improve nursing skills and keep abreast of nursing developments
- Other duties as assigned
Bonus:
New full-time nurses at Restmor will receive sign-on bonuses as they meet the following employment dates: $1,000 at 3 months, $1,000 at 6 months, and $1,000 at 12 months of employment.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Must hold an active Illinois Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Shifts are typically 2:45pm or 3:00pm until 11:30pm three weekdays as well as every other weekend and a holiday rotation.
Physical Demands:
Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, reaching. Occasionally required to sit, use hands/fingers. Routinely required to push/pull/lift and/or move up to 75lbs. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals and infectious waste.
