About Our Client - Kudo Snacks:

Kudo is a fast-growing food manufacturer serving both B2B and B2C markets, with products sold through major retailers, distributors, and eCommerce platforms. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Corporate Controller with 5-10 years’ of experience who can bring a mix of hands-on execution and strategic financial leadership to support our dynamic growth.

The Role:

As our Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for building and optimizing our financial processes while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and profitability. This is a high-impact role where you will oversee accounting, financial reporting, inventory costing, and internal controls—with an eye toward scalability. You’ll be a key strategic partner to the CFO, helping to drive financial decision-making in a rapidly evolving business.

This role requires a CPA, 5-10 years of experience, and strong expertise in manufacturing, eCommerce, and large retailer financial operations.

What You’ll Do:

Financial Leadership & Accounting Operations

• Own the financial close process, reporting, and controls—ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and maintain scalable accounting processes to support growth and evolving business needs.
• Implement and improve cost accounting methodologies for accurate product costing and margin analysis.

Scaling Financial Systems & Processes

• Identify and implement financial systems improvements, including ERP enhancements.
• Help build dashboards and KPIs to track sales performance, COGS, and operational efficiency.
• Support fundraising, investor reporting, and financial modeling as needed.

Leadership & Culture

• Lead and develop a lean but effective accounting team that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CFO and executive team.
• Bring a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality, willing to dive into the details while keeping a strategic mindset.

What You Bring:

• CPA required (or equivalent experience in corporate accounting).
• 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, CPG, retail, or eCommerce finance.
• Strong cost accounting and inventory management expertise.
• Hands-on experience with large retailers, financial operations and eCommerce platforms.
• Startup or high-growth company experience preferred - ability to build and improve processes, not just manage them.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (QBO, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to balance tactical execution with big-picture strategy in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills—able to collaborate across teams and drive financial excellence.
