Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging baked cookies and preparing orders for shipment. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Individually package baked cookies, ensuring they are securely and attractively presented.

·       Fill product boxes with individually packaged cookies, maintaining organization and care.

·       Organize and store product boxes in designated areas to facilitate efficient retrieval and inventory management.

·       Pick and pack product boxes for shipping, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in fulfilling orders.

·       Prepare shipments for pickup by postal carriers, including labeling and documentation as required.

·       Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

·       Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

·       Typical Shifts: 7am - 4pm; 8-5pm *training shifts may vary from these hours* 

Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in food production or packaging is a plus.

·       Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of production.

·       Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

·       Comfort with repetitive tasks, maintaining focus and consistency in a fast-paced environment.

·       Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing 50 lbs as part of the packing and shipping process.

·       Excellent attention to detail to ensure the quality and presentation of baked goods.

·       Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

·       Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

·       Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is a plus.

 Availability:

• (Required) Ability to work at least 5 Shifts per week or 35 - 40 hours per week
• (Required) Availability during school breaks including Winter Break and Summer Break

Location:

This position is based at our bakery located at 1087 W King St, Boone, NC 28607. Candidates should be able to commute to this location for all scheduled shifts.
