Appalachian Community Services (ACS), an ncgCARE partner, is seeking Licensed or License-Eligible Outpatient Therapists to join our team. With Outpatient Centers in Murphy, Hayesville, Bryson City, Robbinsville, Franklin, and Waynesville, we provide comprehensive behavioral health services across the seven western counties of North Carolina. As an Mobile Crisis Dispatcher, you will:
- Answer and assess emergency calls from individuals in crisis, providing a calm and supportive presence.
- Gather detailed information to evaluate the nature and severity of the crisis accurately.
- Dispatch mobile crisis response assessors, coordinating their actions and providing necessary information to ensure a swift and effective response.
- Monitor the status of the crisis intervention team and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all calls, responses, and outcomes.
- Conduct insurance verification and manage enrollments
- Monitor the ongoing status of each crisis case, ensuring continuous quality assurance and timely updates.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals, law enforcement, and other emergency services to ensure coordinated and comprehensive crisis management.
- Provide follow-up support to ensure the continued safety and well-being of individuals post-crisis.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in crisis intervention and mental health services.
Compensation: $17.36 Hourly
