What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Provider (MD/DO/PA/NP) position at Appalachian Counseling and Psychological Services?
Appalachian Counseling and Psychological Services Incorporated (ACAPS) is a multi-disciplinary practice, based in downtown Asheville, North Carolina providing psychiatric medication, psychotherapy, and psychological evaluations. We are currently looking to expand our psychiatric medication management team. One part-time position is available for a medical provider (MD, DO, PA, or NP). We offer competitive salary that is commensurate with credentials and experience.
Duties: Provide psychiatric medication services for patients referred by medical/mental health professionals; consulting and collaborating with other ACAPS psychologists and therapists; collaborative supervisory agreements with ACAPS advanced practice providers if MD/DO; optional inclusion in supervision of interns and/or physician assistant students.
Schedule: Flexible. Mix of in-office and virtual appointments. Applicants must live in the Asheville area.
Requirements: Applicants must have a Master's or Doctorate from an accredited medical or nursing program. Applicants must possess a valid clinical license in North Carolina in good standing. Applicants must have 2 years of experience post-licensure in any field of medicine, though providers with psychiatric experience are preferred.
