Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with various medical systems, ensuring efficient operations within our facility.
Duties
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Conduct patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical histories.
Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for insurance purposes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and emergency medicine.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills related to trauma care at a Level I Trauma Center.
Requirements
Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices.
Experience in patient care within hospital settings or specialized clinics.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
