Security Operations Investigative / Intelligence Analyst

Overview

The changing security model, driven by the emerging threat environment, has necessitated a greater emphasis on developing and expanding critical skills to implement visibility and gather, analyze, or evaluate information from a variety of sources. This includes multi-faceted social media platforms as well as open-source forums. The Investigative/Intelligence Analyst will be required to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, charts, or plans based on their research, collection, and analysis of the collected data, to provide an assessment that supports ARH policy and decision-makers. This will be accomplished through an end product that will be a strategic intelligence analysis based on a system-level process of acquiring and interpreting information. The objective is to answer complex questions about current operations, predict future needs or behavior, and develop solutions to organizational issues and needs.

Responsibilities

The establishment of Security Operations necessitated the creation of initial positions to fulfill its foundational mission. The primary objective of the Security Operations Investigative/Intelligence Analyst is to identify and analyze threats, challenges, or opportunities for senior decision-makers, thereby enabling them to determine appropriate courses of action and make better-informed decisions. This will be achieved through strategic investigative/intelligence analysis, which involves a systematic process of acquiring and interpreting information to address complex questions about current operations, predict future needs or behavior, and develop solutions to organizational issues.

Critical to this role is the development and expansion of essential skills needed for success. These include advanced data analysis capabilities, the ability to synthesize and interpret complex information from diverse sources, and effective communication skills, both written and oral. The Intelligence Analyst must also be adept at working collaboratively across different functional areas, demonstrating organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, and providing timely and accurate data reports.

Additionally, this position will focus on targeting, tracking, and identifying methods to deter and detect potential workplace violence. The responsibilities of the Security Operations Intelligence Analyst include collecting, analyzing, and evaluating information derived from multi-faceted social media platforms as well as open-source forums. The analyst will then prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, charts, or plans based on their research, collection, and analysis of the data, providing assessments that support ARH policy and decision-making.

This role aims to efficiently utilize collected data to anticipate and prevent potential security threats to ARH employees and the company, with a secondary goal of protecting the ARH brand and image. As the workload for Security Operations has increased, so have the responsibilities, rendering the current job description incompatible with the evolving scope of work.

Qualifications

EducationB.S. Cyber Security or any other relevant or comparable experience

Minimum Work Experience5 years work experience in the IT Field or related fields
