Position Summary
The Nurse Educator and AHA Coordinator supports the onboarding and continuous education of newly hired RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff, ensuring comprehensive training and professional development. This role collaborates with department leaders to coordinate onboarding activities and serves as the primary contact for nursing student precepting experiences. As the AHA Training Center Coordinator, the position facilitates American Heart Association training programs, supporting instructors, managing class materials, and overseeing certification processes. Key responsibilities include developing targeted educational programs, optimizing clinical workflows, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and promoting a healthy, inclusive, and supportive work environment that fosters employee well-being and professional excellence. Compensation is commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity. Hiring compensation range starts from $33 / hour.

- Compensation is commensurate upon education & experience - range is $33 / hour or more (depending on education & experience). Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position.

Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of North Carolina.
Strong knowledge of nursing education principles and practices.
The job may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, and / or sitting while conducting training sessions, participating in meetings, or providing clinical support.
The position primarily operates in a professional office environment within the healthcare facility, including classrooms, meeting rooms, and clinical areas.
