Preferred Qualifications | Prefer a four-year degree in accounting or business management, and 4 years of experience in accounting, management and planning of a business or governmental program. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience utilizing banner finance, creating Excel spreadsheets, as well as, the use of multiple technology applications. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | This position requires advanced competencies in planning, organizing, directing, budgeting, and training. Broad knowledge of accounting, and business practices is required. An ability to use data analytics and technology to enhance revenue generation capacity of the department through improving existing programs and identifying new initiatives. An ability to work collaboratively to enhance a wide variety of dining programs and services. Knowledge of internal control policies and procedures. Financial Management: This position works with the Senior Director of Finance and the Business Manager of Campus Services to direct, plan, and provide financial training for the Campus Dining Department. Financial activity is reviewed and monthly financial statements are prepared by this position. This position will participate in budgeting and forecasting for Campus Dining and will be responsible for budget adjustments, reviewing/preparing journal entries, reviewing/preparing reconciliations, as well as, identifying control deficiency's and improvements to processes and procedures. This position will also provide guidance to department leadership regarding capital improvements budgets. Additionally this position will monitor the prompt payment to our vendors to ensure that incentives are maintained and maximized. Business Continuity: All Campus Dining employees may be required to work during home football games or other special campus events as needed. Campus work location may vary depending on the event. |
