Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. The Director of Head Coach Operations / Community Relations assists the Head Football Coach with all aspects off the field, assists with recruiting coordination on and off campus, head community relations for the football team. Some of the key responsibilities are:
Staff/Non-Faculty Staff/Non-Faculty
Appointment Type 1.0
Work Schedule/Hours Varies. Evening, weekend and holiday work is required
Number of Hours Per Week 40
Number of Months Per Year 12
Mandatory Staff No
Suggested Salary Range Commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations related to recruiting and working with student-athletes
- Exceptional interpersonal and counseling skills
- Experience with recruiting student-athletes
- Experience working within an NCAA FBS football program

- Head Coach Speaking Engagements and Autograph Management
- Head Coach Recruiting Coordination
- Community Relations Director
- Assist with Staff’s Families
- Assist Director of High School Relations with fundraisers (ex: Golf Tournament)
- Daily Visit List Coordinator
- Recruitment Assistant
- Initial Eligibility Coordinator
- Assist with Official Visit Travel and Host
- Assist Head Coach, General Manager, Director of Player Personnel, and Recruiting Coordinator for Operations & Visits
