The Underwriting Assistant supports the underwriting staff by carrying out various support tasks. Prior insurance experience NOT required. You can Earn While You Learn!
Responsibilities include:
- Issuance of quotes, endorsements, and cancellation notices.
- In-bound and outbound calls with agents, clients, and brokers.
- Response to submissions, e-mails, messages within timely manner.
- Assist business individuals and/or teams responsible for preparing binding documents.
- Maintain updated documentation.
- Manage and coordinate the filing of documentation as it relates to policies.
- Follow up with customers to insure accurate records.
Skills required:
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Have strong communication and computer skills.
- Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, and have excellent time management skills.
- Must have strong teamwork skills.
Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
