Volunteer: Mother's Day Weekend Arts Retreat

A regional arts center providing opportunities for arts education, arts appreciation and creative expression to artists, students and the public through programs that build on the Appels’ founding principles.

• On-site free community-based festivals including the South Jersey Arts Fest in the spring and the Artober Festival in the fall.
• Overnight arts experiences including the Mother’s Day Weekend Arts Retreat.
• Collaborations with regional and statewide youth arts programs including the Salem/Gloucester County Teen Arts Festival and the Scholastic Arts & Writing Awards.
• After school, evening and weekend Arts Labs classes for adults, youth and families.
• Community Arts Labs classes in your hometown libraries.
• Residential summer Arts Camp for ages 8 to 16.
• Innovative arts-based collaborations serving health and wellness of the community.

Perfect for caregivers and kiddos who want to spend Mothers Day Weekend creating art together, building relationships, and having fun! Friends who wish to attend the daily workshops at Appel Farm's Mother's Day Weekend Art Retreat for free can volunteer for a four-hour shift time helping Chef Randy in the kitchen. You can assist by helping to prep and serve meals as well as set up/clean up the table areas.

The experience includes arts workshops in different disciplines including visual arts, music, writing, and movement; Saturday lunch and dinner; a campfire and special snack; late night fun time; early morning activities; and a special Mother's Day Brunch!
