Position: Full-stack Java developer with hands-on experience with at least one relational database: SQLServer, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, or MariaDB. Leverage advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to write software in a full-stack Java environment. Utilize both object-oriented and functional programming approaches with different tools and technologies including Jenkins, Grafana, Jaeger and Prometheus to implement maintainable features effectively. Leverage relevant software dev. exp. inc. experience with Kubernetes, AWS and Gradle – sharing advanced knowledge on a team - to radiate best practices and faster development. Manage availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of product by designing reliability into software and systems. Perform code reviews which provide feedback on code quality, design and implementation and identify opportunities for code refactoring and performance optimizations on a regular basis and champion these efforts within the team. Contribute to Appian's long-term documentation through publishing relevant, high-quality content to Engineering's tech doc site.
Requirements: Master's in CS, Information Technology or related min. 1 years of exp. in job offered or as Java or C# fluent Software Engineer or in lieu of the employer will accept a Bachelor's in CS, Information Technology or related min. 5 years of exp. in job offered or as Java or C# fluent Software Engineer.
