Responsibilities
- Provide full salon services such as Haircuts, Coloring, Perms, Smoothing and Styling, Permanent Hair Straightening.
- Answer the phone / schedule / re-schedule / adjust services when needed
- Help maintain cleanliness of salon and your station
- Advise and recommend services and products based on hair care needs
- Follow the client journey format
- Keep abreast of new styles, techniques & professional products for retail
- Participate with marketing & advertising to walk-by traffic & through social media
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bring book of clients equivalent to 20hr services /wk or more
- Current PA cosmetology license
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with salon scheduling software
- Familiarity with social media - facebook, instagram, nextdoor etc (make posts on your personal page, join groups)
Wage Range
- Hourly Rate OR Service Commission & tips - discuss during interview
- AND Sliding scale commission associated with products sold - both thru e-commerce and in-salon
- Keep your chair occupancy at 80% or higher. Potentially consider having an assistant to help with the shampooing, sweeping, chart updates, once you're maintaining at least 30hr/week services.
